The "Tree of Life" is a meeting spot of travellers from all over the world, friendly towards families, designed with a love of the arts, a comfortable stay and the "art" of hospitality.
The Tree of Life is a symbol of almost all civilizations, and for us a symbol of recreation and of connecting diverse civilizations and nationalities.
On the northern point of the prefecture of Chania, on the island of Crete, only 30 steps from the sandy beach of Agia Marina with the azure, warm sea, where, if you are lucky you will see the caretta-caretta turtles that hatch in mid-summer.
Most of the rooms have a view of the pool and the interior garden, with beautiful Yucca palm trees. At the pool bar you can taste refreshing cocktails with fresh herbs and Cretan aloe from our garden.
OVERVIEW
With your first steps at the entrance to the Tree of Life, paintings, modern artifacts and retro (every year new works are added) and the seemingly incoherent abundance of objects, in combination with aromatic plants, Cretan aloe, jasmine and Yucca palms, the candles at sunset, begin to tantalize the senses of visitors with the colours and aromas of Crete.Each room has a different theme, and name. There is a noble surreal and folklore feel which embraces the communal areas, moments of relaxation at the aromatic garden of the pool with the pool bar serving refreshing cocktails and at the meeting point, "YAMAS" can be heard in many languages.
The style of the Tree of Life is a voyage which began in 2011. From the start, Angeliki tried to combine the amenities for relaxing holidays with the aroma of art and true hospitality, on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, with a civilization of 10,000 years. The art of hospitality is a priority, as is the love of exploration of the island. Don't hesitate to ask for information for secret destinations. She knows them all!!
BREAKFAST
Don't miss breakfast, which is served up to 11:00 am. We don't clear the tables until everyone has had their breakfast.
A week is not sufficient to taste everything from the buffet.
Marmalade made by us, kaltsounakia with spinach, Cretan olive oil, "kouloura", orange cake with extra virgin olive oil (also home-made), fresh fruit and vegetables in-season, Greek yoghurt with thyme honey from the area, sweets on the spoon, freshly squeezed juice from local oranges, and fresh eggs prepared as per your preference.
ART GIFT POINT
"Greece doesn't deserve plastic souvenirs" is what a guest from Finland wrote when he visited the gift shop. Here you will find "The Art to be Cretan" collection of t-shirts and tote beach bags with designs from our hands! :-) The most popular are the YAMAS t-shirts found around the world and in their third year (2020) of re-printing. Hand-made ceramics, clay candle holders, small statues of Minoan period figures, magnets with sketches of Chania, soap of aloe and olive oil, and even drawn sketches of posters from Hellenic Tourism over the past 70 years, make up some of our souvenirs.

The studios with a pool view are 20m2, beautifully decorated, with high ceilings and airy.
They provide single beds with anatomic mattresses and an upper mattress for a wonderful sleep, made with cotton, bed linens of Nef-Nef (ironed by us personally.) In the bathroom you will find olive oil-based toiletries, a hair-dryer, cotton slippers and a small luxury box just for you! A small fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities and two burners for cooking, fridge with freezer, as well as furnished balconies are provided. A story for every studio and a painting by a famous painter, decorate the headboards of the beds.

The Superior studios with a view of the pool are located in the central building of the unit, on the ground floor and the first floor. They are larger (25m2) than the studios with a pool view and have a sofa-bed that can be used for a third person. In addition to their privileged location, they also provide other amenities such as beds with a mattress and an under-mattress with a 5cm latex layer, spacious bathroom with a clever design (sink area separate from the bathroom,) rain water shower in a built-in shower as well as towels for the pool or the beach. The paintings on the headboards of the joined single beds provide the backdrop for the decor with fine surrounding details. The jasmine on your table is from our garden!
Family Apartment - 2 adults + 2 kids | 33 m2
Two connected family apartments (33m2) with a view of the street of Agia Marina and the inner garden with its Yucca trees (at 1 building of the complex,) exclusively on the 1st floor, are comfortably
designed to accommodate 4 people and ideal for families. They provide
one queen-size bed with a view of the road and two single beds in the
room which looks on the garden. Triplex balcony door with thermostat and noise insulation (we also have ear plugs if the road noise bothers you.) A small kitchen, dining room, furnished balcony two air-conditioning units and a big bathroom with shower or bathtub. Colourful paintings decorate the two rooms and the voyage begins.
Superior Family Apartment - 2 adults + 3 kids | 45 m2
Two separate rooms with two bathrooms make up the larger ground floor apartment with a view of the small garden and the road. The small veranda under the pomegranate tree and the two bathrooms are additional amenities which make for a comfortable stay be it for families or friends. Each room provides two single beds and one room has a an additional sofa-bed for 5-member families. It features a functional small kitchen and a furnished veranda-balcony.

Congratulations! Let us wish you well and sweeten you with local dishes and sweet wine at the Honeymoon Studio with the queen-size bed, fluffy bathrobes and cotton slippers, toiletries with body cream and hair cream, small kitchen and a furnished balcony with a road view.
